Fireworks, The Beautifully Destructive Light Shows

With the 4th of July now behind us, many people will be heading out to their car and realize that the amazing firework display that lit up the night sky casting colorful lights all into the night, has caused their vehicle to look not so pretty.

Although the fireworks are cool and all, the ash and other debris that they create can cause some serious dirt, dust, and even scratches to build upon your car. The main damage caused by fireworks comes from the ash that lands on your car. This ash can cause burn marks on your paint and can also cause scratches because ash is abrasive.

The easiest way to remove ash from your car is by following the steps listed below:

1. Start by rinsing your whole car with a pressure washer to remove any dirt and other loose materials

2. Get a bucket of water and fill it with car safe wash soap

3. Use a microfiber wash rag to carefully wash the car making sure to be careful around any area where ash has build-up

4. Rinse off the soap with your pressure washer

5. Use a clay bar to remove any leftover dirt and ash

6. Wax your car using a wax pad and microfiber rags to polish out the spots where the ash has caused scratches and protect your car from this happening in the future

Fireworks can be very mesmerizing to watch, but don’t let the residue wreck your paint. Clean it carefully as soon as possible to reduce the damage done by the materials left on your car!
